Access Statement for
Badminton Villa Guest House - Bath
Introduction
Our home is set in quiet city street and offers five guest rooms. The house is late Victorian and is over one hundred years old and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. We are located on a hill and have rooms at different levels; there are therefore steps into the house and between rooms. Ceilings are lower in two rooms and some doors are narrow.
Rooms are of varying sizes and most are not suitable for wheelchair users.
Pre-Arrival
We are located in a quiet city street just off the A367, which is one of the main roads into the city from the south, and we are 5 minutes by taxi from Bath Spa railway station. Our location is ideally suited for those traveling with or without a car.
The nearest shops are 400 yards away up a hill where there is a small supermarket, newsagents, chemists, a pub and a small restaurant.
The nearest bus stop is 200 yards away and buses run every few minutes into the city
The city centre is 5 minutes away by taxi or a 15 minute walk downhill.
We have a pet dog and regret therefore that we are unable to accommodate dogs other than hearing or seeing dogs accompanying their owners.
Our Website www.badmintonvilla.co.uk provides pictures of our accommodation and further information about the services we provide.
